牧野家3世代、そしてベテランから若手たちが漆の塗技術を生かし、大型の仏壇仏具の新調・修復を手掛ける京都の大手塗師集団。多種多様な刷毛のみならず、スプレーガンを用いた天然漆の塗布なども行う。その技術の幅広さと高度さにより、国内外のインテリア等にも応用範囲を広げつつある。
Three generations of the Makino Family, as well as a wide range of veteran and young craftspeople, make full use of lacquer painting techniques to handle the new installation and restoration of large Buddhist altars and altar fittings in Kyoto. In addition to a wide variety of brushes, they also apply natural lacquer using spray guns. The high level of skill and breadth of their craftsmanship is expanding their activities to include interior design in Japan and abroad.
