Specialist exploring the potential of Japanese lacquer

様々なモノづくりを支える「漆」を生産する工房。漆精製、漆製品の製造、漆工芸教室を見学できる。漆はあらゆるものづくりとつながる材料です。蒔絵や螺鈿など多種技法を組み合わせることで商品デザイン、企画、サンプル作成、各種試験、本生産を行っています。ものづくりの豊富な経験と確かな科学的見地から可能性を広げます。ワークショップ（漆絵蒔絵・拭き漆・金継）希望者は、メールで事前予約がおすすめ。

Lacquer is a material connected to all kinds of manufacturing. Sato Kiyomatsu-Shoten is rich in both manufacturing experience and scientific insight. Visitors can observe lacquer refining, product manufacturing, and craft classes. Combining techniques such as maki-e and raden (mother-of-pearl inlay), the workshop follows an integrated process from planning, design, sample making to full production. For those who wish to take a workshop (lacquer painting maki-e, wiping lacquer, and kintsugi), advance reservation by e-mail is recommended.
