Developing traditional Nassen dyeing technique for the future
伝統的な京友禅の技法を残しながら、新しい染色手法を加味することで若い技術者を育成し、世界に誇る友禅染色の伝承を目指す工房。型染、手捺染ならではの質感、色感、手作り感を大切にしながら、シルク、コットン、ポリエステルなど、素材を問わず対応できる技術力を誇る。藍捺染の技術を開発し、従来では表現できなかった細かい線やデザインを実現。
While maintaining traditional dyeing techniques of Kyoto Yuzen, Fujita Sen’en aims to bring in new dyeing methods to attract young craftspeople to create an evolved Yuzen style. They take pride in their abilities to translate the qualities of hand-painted and stencil dyeing that highlight colors and textures regardless of fabric material.
