Handing over the innovative Raku to the next generation
茶の湯を大成した千利休が、その美意識の最高峰を茶碗という形で表したのが「楽焼」。利休に傾倒した創始者・佐々木吉之介が1905年に洛中から清水寺門前に居を移し、昭楽窯を開いたのを始まりに、現在は四代目・昭楽が亀岡の山里で楽焼の伝統を受け継いでいる。今回は工房の見学に加え、貴重な楽焼の作陶体験および茶道体験も実施する（予約制）。
Raku tea ware was innovated by the tea master, Sen Rikyu, to embody the essence of aesthetic within the tea ceremony. Kichinosuke Sasaki, the founder of Shouraku Kiln, who was enthusiastic about Rikyu opened his kiln in 1905. Now, the 4th generation is taking over the tradition of Raku ware in Kameoka. Raku ware workshop and tea ceremony experience will be available (reservation required).
